CARMA aims to bring communities to work together to promote, share and embrace the diverse cultures of the region.
BUILD Relationships
Build and develop collaborative working relationships between communities and cultural groups in Cairns and the region.
Support
Support communities and cultural groups to maintain their cultural heritage values and practices.
Coordinate
Coordinate and support multicultural activities.
Promote Awareness
Promote awareness, understanding and appreciation of the cultural diversity values within the community
Link Service Providers
To establish relationships and referral links with key service providers within the community and mainstream services including health, education, employment, housing, family and community services
Strengthen Links
Establish and strengthen links with local, state and federal governments.
