CULTURE (Long) The sum total of ways of living built up by a group of human beings and organically passed from one generation to another to grow into or on a controlled or defined medium. The quality in a person or society that arises from a concern for what is regarded as excellent.
CULTURE (Short) (from the Latin "cultura" stemming from "colere", meaning to "cultivate")
FOUNDATIONS OF CULTURE
ART FORM... art objects using visual and performing arts, including painting, sculprture, music, dance, theatre and other art forms of story telling and historical art.
HUMANITIES... The human condition, values, and rules of ethics. Also spirituality, religion, deities, and an afterlife.
LANGUAGE... family is a group of languages related by descent from a common ancestor, called the proto-language of that family. Most of the world's languages are known to belong to language families. Those that are not (or for which any family relationships are only tentatively proposed) are isolate languages.
SOCIAL STRUCTURE... Family; and to refer to relationships or bonds between groups of individuals which shape behavior of acts and social structure (Mentorship) within the social systems.
FOOD...Many cultures study the dietary analysis of food habits. While humans are omnivores (eats everything), religion and social constructs such as morality often affect which foods they will consume. Although many human cultures sought food items through hunting and gathering, today most cultures use farming and fishing, with hunting, and other methods of a local nature included but playing a minor role.
Multiculturalism... refers to the acceptance of multiple ethnic cultures, for practical reasons and/or for the sake of diversity and applied to the demographic make-up of a specific place, usually at the organizational level, e.g. schools, businesses, neighborhoods, cities or nation.
